Bilingual French Customer Service Representative

Monroe, MI 48162

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for translating, directing and supporting external/internal customer orders; assisting with French speaking warranty issues to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained; and assisting various departments with language translations from French to English.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Translates and processes Aftermarket Export customer orders
  • Provides foreign language interpretation and translation to different departments
  • Follows up with plants and customers to ensure fill rate is achieved prior to shipping oversea
  • Provides International customers pricing information, and provides proforma invoices prior to shipping orders
  • Resolves all Freight Forwarder issues  
  • Processes accurate customer adjustments for competitive changeovers (debits/credits)
  • Acts as a liaison with the Field Sales Force and Internal Account Representatives, when needed
  • Utilizes technical knowledge when assisting customers with product issues
  • Applies knowledge of sales, warranty, pricing, transportation and shipping policies when assisting customers
  • Processes all changeover documents
  • Investigates all deduction issues involving customer changeovers.
  • Responsible for the scheduling/ordering for CVS customers.
  • Involved in the scheduling/ordering for the exporting of component to various facilities.
  • Responsible for Departmental reporting and other duties as required.

Position Criteria :

  • Knowledge of Ocean/Air transportation and International policies a plus
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Ability to be cross-functional and adapt well in a team atmosphere
  • Proficient in current software packages as dictated by standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Business or equivalent customer service experience
  • Must be fluent in French
  • Minimum of 2 years prior customer service experience
